Thai Curry : Fried Crab in Curry Sauce


  • 1 crab
  • 1 tablespoon curry powder
  • 120ml milk or water
  • 2 tablespoons shrimp chili paste
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 stalks spring onions, cut into 5cm
  • 2 red chilies, sliced
  • 2 stalks Chinese celery


  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce

Method for Cooking Fried Crab in Curry Sauce:

  1. Wash the crab, remove the shell and chop into pieces. Crack the pincers and legs.
  2. Heat up 3 tablespoons of oil in a pan, add crab and fry it until cooked. Add curry powder and mix well.
  3. Mix milk, chili paste and egg together. Add mixture into pan and stir well.
  4. Add Seasoning to taste.
  5. Add onion, spring onion, chilies and celery. Cook till done. Serve.
