Malaysian Curry : Nyonya Curry Prawn



  • 300g big prawn (trim away feelers)
  • 1 brinjal 9cut into strips)
  • 1 tomato (cut into pieces)


  • 5 shallot (cut into halves)
  • 2 stalks lemongrass (cut into sections, bruised)
  • 1 spike curry leaf


  • 200g seafood curry mix
  • 1 tablespoon belacan powder


  • 200g coconut milk

Method for Cooking Nyonya Curry Prawn :

  1. Heat up 3 tablespoons of oil. Fry Ingredients B and C until fragrant.

  2. Add coconut milk. Fry for another 5 minutes.

  3. Add in Ingredients A, adequate water and pinch of salt. Cook over medium heat for 10 minutes. Serve.
