Malaysian Curry : Nyonya Curry Fish Head



  • ½ grouper fish head (rinse and chop into pieces)


  • 6 long beans
  • 1 brinjal (cut into sections)
  • 2 green capsicum (cut into halves)
  • Some salt


  • 200g fish curry mix
  • 1 teaspoon belacan powder
  • 1 spike curry leaves


  • 200g coconut milk

Method for Cooking Nyonya Curry Fish Head :

  1. Heat up 2 tablespoons cooking oil in a pot. Fry Ingredients C over medium heat until fragrant. Add half portion of coconut milk. Fry again.

  2. Add Ingredients B and fish head. Fry for 10 minutes over high heat.

  3. Add water to cover fish head. Cook over high heat and bring to boil, then add remaining coconut milk. Turn to medium heat and cook for another 10 minutes.
