Malaysian Curry : Mamak Stall Nasi Lemak

Ingredients A

  • 2 cups rice (rinsed)
  • 2 cups santan (¼ coconut)
  • 2 pieces pandan leaves

Ingredients B

Ingredients C

  • Roasted peanuts, to taste
  • Cucumber, to taste
  • Fried anchovy, to taste
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs (sliced)


  • Salt, to taste

Method for Cooking Mamak Stall Nasi Lemak:

  1. Put ingredients A and a pinch of salt into rice cooker to cook. Stir-fry Ingredients B until the big onion becomes soft.
  2. Divide rice into portions and put it on banana leaves.
  3. Add in Ingredients B and Ingredients C, wrap them up and it's ready to serve.


Hard-boiled eggs may be replaced with omelette.
