Indonesian Curry : Stir-fried Sambal Mussels

 

Ingredients A

  • 300g mussels
  • 1 big onion
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 red chili
  • 1 green chili

Ingredients B

  • 2 tablespoons Indonesian sambal paste

Ingredients C

  • 150ml coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon assam paste
  • Salt, to taste
  • Sugar, to taste


Method for Cooking Stir-fried Sambal Mussels:

  1. Put mussels into boiling water, remove to drain, then soak in water. Wash several times.
  2. Stir-fry sambal with big onion, tomato, red and green chili over high heat.
  3. Add in Ingredients C, bring to boil. Stir in mussels, remove and serve.

Tip:

Soak mussels in salt water to remove its fishy smell.
