Method for Cooking Salted Fish with Blimbing:
- Wash salted fish, soak in water for 30 minutes. Remove to drain.
- Heat 2 tablespoons oil in pan, stir-fry salted fish both sides until golden brown.
- Put sambal, blimbing, red chilies and big onion in pot, stir-fry until fragrant.
- Add in fried salted fish, ½ cup of water and sugar, cook until dry and remove.
You can soak the salted fish in water mixed with 1 teaspoon of salt to reduce its saltiness.
